Even though Kabbalahists insist that it is a science it isn’t. I do enjoy studying it as I think much of it is relevant and accurate. However, if Kabbalah is a science then so is Christianity, Islam, etc. There is nothing empirical about Kabbalah.
answer: Kabbalah is part of Judaism. It is not a religion. It is the study of the Torah and G-d through mysticism.
There is a vast difference between New Age Kabbalah and actual Jewish Kabbalah. Madonna and others are New Age.
Traditional Kabbalah was studied by males over 35(?) because it was felt that one needed maturity and dedication to even begin the study.
