I did not like this book, for one thing the writer seem to be talking to himself not the reader. I finished the book and when i asked myself what did i learn about Kabbala the answer was “Nothing” except that it is all spiritual and i don’t have to do any mitsvot! I really don’t recommend the reading of this book. It divides Kabbala from Judaism and projects it as a whole different things all together as Kabbala and Judaism cannot be divided. It spiritualises just about everything too much. On the Other hand “Kabbala for Dummies” is an awesomne book it really explains things step by step and brings G-d into the picture of everything. It does not divorce G-d from Kabbala but unites them as they should be. The author of “Kabbala for Dummies” is not afraid to use the name “G-d” while the Idiot’s guide is and keeps calling Him Creator, now i know that G-d is the Creator but in this book He is projected as a force.
If you really want a good book to start learning the true meaning of Kabbala and fully understand read “Kabbala for Dummies”

This guide is a great introduction to Kabbalah, as taught by Beni Baruch. The writing is very very easy to read and comprehend at a superficial level, while it makes you think extremely deeply at each subsequent reading.
Like any book full of profound information, it merits multiple readings over a period of time, and each time I pick it up, I see things a little differently, and in many cases a little deeper as well. Different aspects seem to be emphasized each time I read it – which likely corresponds to the various levels the book is written on.
It is a great companion to the Bnei Baruch online classes. The two complement each other extremely well, and while you can do one without the other, the two together are powerful catalysts for growth and learning.
Highly recommended!
